| 中国漢王朝が栄えていたおよそ2000年前のユーラシア大陸。この時代に遥か西のローマまで中国の絹製品が運ばれていたことから、のちにこの交易路を「絹の道・シルクロード」とよぶようになったのです。 本展ではこの漢王朝に焦点を当て、「歴史絵巻」として世界的に貴重な記録である漢代画像石の拓本画像を展示します。古代中国の宇宙観・神話・宗教・風俗習慣などを鮮やかに映し出す画像石。石に刻まれていた神々や仙人、そして珍しい動植物が、いま、ふわりとよみがえります。 Flora and fauna of unworldly beauty adorned ancient Chinese cosmology.
