　底部中央に鳳凰か孔雀が表わされ、連珠文が取り巻いています。文様は、裏面から鎚で打ち出して作られています。
　鳳凰は伝説上の鳥で、祥瑞（めでたいしるし）とされています。

　A phoenix, or peacock, appears inside a pearl roundel. The technique of repousse was used to hammer out the design from the reverse side. Since ancient times, the legendary bird phoenix has been treasured as a good sign.
