藍染めの地に多色の布を使い、袖には更に刺繍があります。袖と身ごろの縫い目も鮮やかな色の布で縁取られ、背中の下半分はクロスステッチなどの幾何学的な文様で覆われています。タイ北部から中国の雲南省にまたがる山岳地方の人々は、このような民族衣装を日常着としており、華やかな民族衣装姿で家事や畑仕事などをしています。

This is a woman's jacket dyed in indigo and decorated with strips of cloth and geometrically arranged embroidery. The Akha and the other mountain tribes of Thailand daily wear elaborate clothing which symbolizes their pride and tradition.
